Basketball Recap: Amite Takes a Loss

Amite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the St. Amant Gators 67-30. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Gators are ranked 95th).

Amite's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for St. Amant, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-17.

Amite wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-40 defeat against Mandeville on the 2nd. St. Amant has also already played their next contest, a 50-48 loss against Doyle on the 3rd.
