Softball Recap: City View Comes Up Short

City View extended their losing streak to 18 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-19 in the process. They lost 20-1 to the Jacksboro Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Monday.

As for Jacksboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games.

For Jacksboro's part, Shelby Seaberry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Seaberry was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Holly Lehman was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Maddy Morgan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

City View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jacksboro, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-5 victory against Whitesboro on the 21st.
