After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gardner-South Wilmington, Illinois Lutheran was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 43-37 win over Tri-Point. This was a revenge game for Illinois Lutheran: when they faced off against Tri-Point back in January, they had to take a 49-44 defeat.

Leading Illinois Lutheran to victory were Michael DeBoer and Dawveed Holland. DeBoer posted 16 points and three steals, while Holland almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which DeBoer has scored at least a third of Illinois Lutheran's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Danzy, who earned eight points and three steals.

Illinois Lutheran's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 2-16. As for Tri-Point, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-23.
