Baseball Game Preview: Northwood Timberwolves vs. Fullerton Indians

The Northwood Timberwolves will take on the Fullerton Indians in a tournament on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Northwood 4.1, Fullerton 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Northwood is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Woodbridge. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 27, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, Fullerton won against Tustin on Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Fullerton walked away with an 8-3 win over Calvary Chapel. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Fullerton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Northwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Northwood beat Fullerton 5-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2018. Does Northwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fullerton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
