Robinson took a 16-run defeat the last time they faced off against Stuttgart, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Senators had just enough and edged out the Ricebirds 9-8 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Senators have posted since March 28, 2024.

Ashley Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off 11 hits. Miller was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mady Hokams, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Lexi Rowe was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Stuttgart, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robinson will welcome Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stuttgart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lonoke at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ricebirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jackrabbits have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
