Baseball Recap: Johnsonburg Drops Season-High Score on Brockway

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Johnsonburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Brockway Rovers 15-14. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Aiden Demay was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Newman, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Johnsonburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Johnsonburg's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Brockway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Johnsonburg will take on Clarion-Limestone at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.9 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Brockway, they will face off against Redbank Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
