Meyah Putnam gave up the fewest hits she has since back in May of 2024 on Wednesday. She was excellent, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. Thanks to that strong showing, she's now averaging 7.2 strikeouts per game.

Putnam's strong effort led Avoca-Prattsburgh over Alfred-Almond and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
