Baseball Game Preview: Sports Leadership & Management Bulls vs. Sunrise Mountain Miners

For the second straight game, Sports Leadership & Management will face off against Sunrise Mountain. The Bulls will be playing at home against the Miners at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Sports Leadership & Management is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Sports Leadership & Management turned things around against Sunrise Mountain on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Miners an 18-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulls needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Talan Everett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mark McAllister III, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Tondreau, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Sports Leadership & Management always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .735. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Sports Leadership & Management's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Sunrise Mountain, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
