Volleyball Game Preview: North Chicago Warhawks vs. Round Lake Panthers

North Chicago is on a ten-game streak of home losses, and Round Lake a 23-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The North Chicago Warhawks will look to defend their home court against the Round Lake Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, North Chicago didn't have quite enough to beat Westlake Christian Academy and fell 2-1. While the Warhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-16 in the first set.

North Chicago actually scored more points across those three sets (73-69), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-22, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Round Lake came up short against Grayslake North on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18.

North Chicago's loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Round Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-26.

North Chicago was able to grind out a solid win over Round Lake in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Warhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
