Basketball Game Preview: Hale Center Owls vs. Farwell Steers

Hale Center is 0-10 against Farwell since January of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hale Center Owls will take on the Farwell Steers at 6:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Hale Center was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 62-57 to Sudan.

Meanwhile, Farwell entered their tilt with Olton on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Mustangs 76-18. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-8.

Farwell is on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points per game. As for Hale Center, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.

Hale Center was taken down by Farwell 73-39 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Hale Center avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
