Football Recap: Pine Forest Eagles vs. Pace Patriots
After flying high against Booker T. Washington last Friday, Pine Forest came back down to earth. The Pine Forest Eagles came up short against the Pace Patriots on Thursday, falling 29-6. The Eagles were down 23-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Pace was led to victory by Makael Williams and Ben Tyner. Williams rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown, while Tyner rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. That's the most rushing yards Tyner has posted since back in August.
Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Pace, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Forest will head out to challenge Escambia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Escambia will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pine Forest surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pace, they and Navarre are set to duel on Friday. Pace is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 37 points per game this season.
