Baseball Recap: Fort Bragg Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Fort Bragg's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Kelseyville Knights on Friday. The Timberwolves have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Tyler Casey was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Fort Bragg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Kelseyville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Fort Bragg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-0 victory against Upper Lake on the 22nd. As for Kelseyville, they have also already played their next match, a 5-3 loss against Rancho Cotate on the 19th.
