Basketball Recap: China Spring Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when China Spring faced off against Teague on Saturday. The China Spring Cougars took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Teague Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 63-54 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

China Spring has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Teague, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. China Spring and Salado will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Teague will take on Buffalo in a holiday battle at at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Teague surely won't give up without a fight.
