While Salem's win against Sacred Heart wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Salem narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Sacred Heart 5-3. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Salem's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sacred Heart, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem will challenge Tylertown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sacred Heart, they will take on Salem at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
