Basketball Recap: Battle Ground Academy Comes Up Short

Battle Ground Academy was the 76-71 winner over Providence Christian Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Battle Ground Academy Wildcats took a hard 78-62 fall against the Providence Christian Academy LIONS on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the LIONS are ranked seventh).

Battle Ground Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Providence Christian Academy, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

Battle Ground Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will host Friendship Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 26 games -- so hopefully Friendship Christian likes a good challenge.
