Basketball Game Preview: Velma Jackson Falcons vs. Leake County Gators + Official Tickets

Velma Jackson and Leake County are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2021, but not for long. The Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Velma Jackson has given up an average of 58 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Velma Jackson ended up a good deal behind Yazoo County and lost 70-51.

Velma Jackson's defeat came about despite a quality game from Trevon Willis, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Da'Quavion Black, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Leake County strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They strolled past Humphreys County with points to spare, taking the game 52-37.

Velma Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Leake County, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Velma Jackson came up short against Leake County in their previous matchup last Thursday, falling 52-40. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
