Basketball Game Preview: Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors vs. St. Johns Classical Academy Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the St. Johns Classical Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Covenant School of Jacksonville turned things around against Cedar Creek Christian on Monday. They came out on top against the Saints by a score of 55-47.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Johns Classical Academy). They managed a 57-51 victory over Warner Christian Academy on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Lions' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

St. Johns Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12.

Everything came up roses for Covenant School of Jacksonville against St. Johns Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Covenant School of Jacksonville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
