Softball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

Rogers was the 14-4 winner over Northside when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Mountaineers fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 11-10 on Thursday. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Northside, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-9.

Rogers and Northside could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. The Mountaineers will square off against Bryant at 3:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (32 vs. 4). Meanwhile, Northside (ranked 124th) will meet Har-Ber (ranked ninth) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
