Baseball Game Preview: Suffern Mounties vs. Clarkstown South Vikings

The Suffern Mounties are taking a road trip to square off against the Clarkstown South Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkstown South took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Suffern, who comes in off a win.

While Mounties fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Saturday's season opener. They put the hurt on Nyack with a sharp 7-0 victory on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Mounties in their matchups with the Red Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Clarkstown South unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 12-4 to North Rockland on Sunday.

Clarkstown South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Lipson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Everything went Suffern's way against Clarkstown South in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Suffern made off with an 11-3 victory. Will Suffern repeat their success, or does Clarkstown South has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
