Baseball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Blue Ridge's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks on Friday. The Barons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mavericks from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Blue Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy Keseday, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Keseday's first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Blue Ridge and nudges their season record down to 6-11. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.

Blue Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 6-1 loss against Virginia Episcopal School on the 5th. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-1 win against St. Anne's-Belfield on the 3rd.
