Football Game Preview: Arroyo Valley Hawks vs. Carter Lions + How To Watch

The Arroyo Valley Hawks will square off against the Carter Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arroyo Valley will be strutting in after a win while Carter will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Arroyo Valley didn't have too much trouble with Fontana as they won 38-19. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

The critical scores for Arroyo Valley came from Cydrick Davis Iii, Eddie Pimentel, Jose Zavala, Jerome Weaver, and Titobioluwa Akinbulu.

Arroyo Valley's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. Fontana's QB won't forget Zavala anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Jaime Verdin was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Carter was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 7-6 to Rialto. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arroyo Valley will have to contain Deshalon Allen as he made an impact in Carter's last game. He rushed for 82 yards and one score.

Carter now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Arroyo Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Arroyo Valley was taken down by Carter 42-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Lions' Cristian Ferrari, who rushed for 102 yards and one TD on only five carries.
