Volleyball Recap: Cumberland County Gets the Win

Cumberland County won the last time they faced Knoxville A and things went their way on Saturday too. The Jets walked away with a 2-0 win over the Ambassadors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jets.

Ivy Watson paced Cumberland County's offense, picking up eight kills. Watson got some help from Laila Howard and her 16 assists. Watson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ava Seitner, racking up three apiece.

Cumberland County's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Knoxville A, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Cumberland County has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Eagleton College & Career Academy on the 30th. As for Knoxville A, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Clinton on the 30th.
