Volleyball Recap: Seaside Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Seaside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the North Monterey County Condors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Seaside was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made North Monterey County work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 21-25, 25-8, 25-20.

Kaihea Vi paced Seaside's offense, picking up eight kills. Vi got some help from Sophia Villanueva and her 22 assists. Gabriela Silva controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Seaside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for North Monterey County, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-8.

Seaside has already played their next match (against Pacific Collegiate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Monterey County also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against North Salinas.
