Basketball Recap: South Fork Comes Up Short

South Fork managed to keep up with Middletown until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The South Fork Cubs took a blow against the Middletown Mustangs, falling 78-46. The Cubs were down 58-37 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Middletown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Fork will venture away from home to face off against Hoopa Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hoopa Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season. As for Middletown, they will head out on the road to square off against Fort Bragg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
