Basketball Recap: Walter Glover Jr's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Highland over Andrean

After flying high against Whiting last Thursday, Highland came back down to earth. The Highland Trojans fell 55-48 to the Andrean Fighting 59ers on Saturday. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Walter Glover Jr, who went 9 for 18 on his way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Glover Jr a new career-high. Justin Slaven was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Andrean, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Highland will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. As for Andrean, they will venture away from home to challenge Hammond Bishop Noll at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th.
