After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gridley, Hamilton was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Live Oak Lions 3-2. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Hamilton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Rodgers, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Hamilton moved to 4-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Live Oak, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton will head out to challenge Quincy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Live Oak, they will venture away from home to take on Las Plumas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Plumas will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Live Oak surely won't give up without a fight.
