Basketball Recap: Manville Takes a Loss

Manville lost against Somerville back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Manville Mustangs came up short against the Somerville Pioneers, falling 47-25. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Pioneers are ranked 54th).

Manville has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. The win (which was Somerville's fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Looking ahead, Manville will challenge Dayton on Wednesday. Somerville has already played their next game (against Orange), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
