Basketball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View lost against Meridian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mountain View Mavericks took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meridian Warriors. The Mavericks just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Mountain View lost, don't look at Teage Corrigan. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Patterson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Meridian, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Mountain View will challenge Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season. Meridian has already played their next game (against Timberline), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
