The Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders got the win against the Dodge City Demons on Saturday by a conclusive 14-1. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Dodge City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kapaun Mt. Carmel will venture away from home to square off against Maize at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dodge City, they will head out to face off against Liberal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redskins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Demons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
