Softball Recap: Fruitdale Comes Up Short

Fruitdale and Millry squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Fruitdale had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 15-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 21, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Fruitdale dropped their record down to 6-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Millry, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Fruitdale by a score of 11-7 later that day.
