Basketball Game Preview: Holy Family Academy vs. Pittsfield Panthers

Holy Family Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Pittsfield Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pittsfield took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Holy Family Academy, who comes in off a win.

Holy Family Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 53-41 victory over Mascenic Regional.

Meanwhile, Pittsfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 61-40 to Newmarket, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Mules are ranked 32nd).

Pittsfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Holy Family Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Holy Family Academy took their victory against Pittsfield when the teams last played back in January of 2022 by a conclusive 74-48. Will Holy Family Academy repeat their success, or does Pittsfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
