Basketball Recap: Jackson Heights Comes Up Short

Jackson Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Horton Chargers. The Cobras were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 54-48.

Jackson Heights' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Horton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3-1.

Jackson Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-44 defeat against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] on the 5th. As for Horton, they will face off against Atchison County on Friday. Horton is facing Atchison County at the right time seeing as Atchison County is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
