Basketball Recap: Rodriguez Drops Highest Score of Season Against Grant

Rodriguez scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Grant Pacers by a score of 100-97. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (74), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Rodriguez still got an impressive performance from Mason Adimora, who dropped a double-double with 39 points and 20 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Adimora now owns an excellent 41.2% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Khamanni Martin, who shot 62% from the field to rack up 22 points and three steals.

Cobe James produced another solid effort dropping a double-double with 32 points and ten rebounds for Grant. The game was James' fourth in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Gomez, who posted 19 points and six boards.

Rodriguez's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Grant, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Rodriguez and Benicia will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Grant, they will take on Armijo in a tournament on Thursday.
