Basketball Game Preview: Gaston Bulldogs vs. Westbrook Christian Warriors

Gaston hasn't had much luck against Westbrook Christian recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Gaston Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Westbrook Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Gaston didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Sand Rock, but they still walked away with a 59-54 victory.

Meanwhile, Westbrook Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 70-59 to North Sand Mountain.

Gaston has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Westbrook Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Gaston came up short against Westbrook Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 62-50. Can Gaston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
