South Aiken took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Brookland-Cayce. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Thoroughbreds were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Airport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Aiken, falling 5-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

South Aiken now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Airport, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

South Aiken took their win against Airport in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 11-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Aiken since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
