Football Game Recap: St. Petersburg vs. Boca Ciega

Boca Ciega had a rough outing against Countryside last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Boca Ciega took their matchup against St. Petersburg on Friday 21-14. St. Petersburg can consider this payback for the 16-42 loss they dealt Boca Ciega the last time the teams encountered one another.

Boca Ciega got off to a sluggish start, posting 0 total points in the first half. That left them at a 0-14 disadvantage. The Boca Ciega offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 21 points. The contest brought them to 1-2 and dropped St. Petersburg to a mirror-image 2-1.

Boca Ciega will stay at home next week against Osceola at 7:30 PM. St. Petersburg will look to defend their home turf against Seminole at 7:30 PM.
