Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Edgewood entered their tilt with Owen Valley on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Edgewood not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Owen Valley between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.

Olivia Edgeman paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 15 kills. Edgeman got some help from Jenna Abram and her 29 assists. Abram was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Edgewood now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Owen Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Edgewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Sullivan on the 16th. As for Owen Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Linton-Stockton on the 15th.
