Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Bellflower Buccaneers

The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders will be taking part in a tournament against the Bellflower Buccaneers at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Bellflower took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Joseph Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, St. Joseph Academy beat Escondido 49-37.

Meanwhile, Bellflower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Downey an easy 58-35 win. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1121st, while the Vikings are ranked 275th).

Bellflower's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for St. Joseph Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
