It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Rowan had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Dudley Panthers as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Brady Ailshie looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Mason Phelps and Zeke Stewart did most of the damage at the plate: Phelps went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Stewart went 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave Stewart a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Ketchie, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

East Rowan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Dudley, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-12.

Coming up, East Rowan will face off against Carson on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 3.6, the Cougars 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Dudley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
