Basketball Game Preview: Denison-Schleswig Monarchs vs. Harlan Cyclones

Denison-Schleswig and Harlan are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs will be playing at home against the Harlan Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Denison-Schleswig is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Glenwood 75-39.

Meanwhile, Harlan took a blow against Kuemper on Tuesday, falling 90-61. The Cyclones haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Harlan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Denison-Schleswig, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Denison-Schleswig came up short against Harlan when the teams last played back in January, falling 48-37. Can Denison-Schleswig avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
