Crandon's last matchup with Merrill could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Cardinals lost 18-1 to the Bluejays. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Crandon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mavrik Mayer, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Loyal Adler also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Crandon's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Merrill, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Looking ahead, Crandon is taking a road trip to face off against Florence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Merrill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against D.C. Everest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Evergreens will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something the Bluejays surely won't give up without a fight.
