Football Recap: Bleckley County Piles Up the Points Against Central

Bleckley County got themselves on the board against Central on Thursday, but Central never followed suit. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 49-0 win over the Chargers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Royals' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Chargers are ranked 432nd).

Brody Fleming continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 324 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 156.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Kelvin Sneed Jr was in the mix too, providing Bleckley County with two scores.

Bleckley County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Terrollieo Brimidge and Willy Walters, who racked up four sacks between them. Bleckley County got some further help from Jireh Campbell: he made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Bleckley County's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Bleckley County and Jeff Davis will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
