Softball Game Preview: Parsippany Redhawks vs. Morris County Tech Devils

Parsippany is a perfect 4-0 against Morris County Tech since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Redhawks will venture away from home to take on the Devils at 3:45 p.m. Parsippany is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Parsippany is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 17-11 to Madison on Tuesday.

Olivia Freire and Charlotte Inauen did some serious damage despite the final result: Freire got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs, while Inauen went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Freire also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Angelica Blair, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.

Madison hit Morris County Tech with a nine-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Devils came up short against the Dodgers, falling 17-2.

Morris County Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Parsippany, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12-1.

Everything went Parsippany's way against Morris County Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Parsippany made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Redhawks repeat their success, or do the Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
