Soccer Game Preview: Clackamas vs. Central Catholic

The Clackamas Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Central Catholic Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clackamas barely beat Gresham the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cavaliers' defense stepped up to hand the Gophers a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Clackamas, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Central Catholic entered their tilt with Sandy on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Pioneers.

Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 7-5-2. As for Clackamas, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-2.

Clackamas suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Central Catholic when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
