Softball Recap: Dr. Krop Comes Up Short

Dr. Krop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 22-1 to the South Dade Buccaneers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lightning of the 12-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2019.

Dr. Krop's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for South Dade, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dr. Krop will host Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Dade, they will face off against Hialeah Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gladiators have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
