Football Recap: Red Mountain Starts off Right with Win over Desert Pines + How To Watch

Red Mountain had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Desert Pines Jaguars 44-21 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Mountain Lions just coasted through the last quarter.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Red Mountain, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tyreke Cornett, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Desert Pines' loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Red Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-28 victory against ALA - Queen Creek on the 5th. As for Desert Pines, they have also already played their next matchup, a 35-29 win against Mojave on the 5th.
