Football Recap: Cooper City Starts Season with Win on the Road

Cooper City had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Coral Glades Jaguars 10-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cowboys also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Cooper City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Smith and Jake Wallace.

When it comes to explaining why Coral Glades lost on Friday, don't look at Anthony Casseus. Despite the final result, he rushed for 203 yards on only nine carries. Casseus really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Romeo Williams was another key player, rushing for 80 yards and one score.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cooper City will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Stoneman Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coral Glades, they will challenge South Plantation at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
