Basketball Preview: Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars vs. Milaca Wolves
Hinckley-Finlayson is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Wolves a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars will take on the Milaca Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Hinckley-Finlayson had to suffer through a rough 77-41 loss at the hands of the Huskies.
Meanwhile, Milaca pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The game between them and Little Falls wasn't particularly close, with Milaca falling 77-63. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Milaca in their matchups with the Flyers: they've now lost four in a row.
Hinckley-Finlayson has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Milaca, they have fallen quite a ways from their 23-7 record last season and are now at 1-15.
Hinckley-Finlayson was dealt a bruising 73-36 loss at the hands of the Wolves in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Hinckley-Finlayson, Lewis Wolbert (who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists) won't be suiting up this time.
