Baseball Recap: Springstead's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Springstead can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulls, too.

Tanner Henrickson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Nathaniel Sabino was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Springstead's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Springstead will head out to take on Weeki Wachee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Weeki Wachee's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Springstead's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will be playing at home against Land O' Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
