Baseball Recap: MacArthur Victorious

MacArthur won the last time they faced Southside and things went their way on Saturday too. The Brahmas skirted past the Cardinals 13-11. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Brahmas.

Cohen Mayfield was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Laboy-Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.

MacArthur's victory bumped their record up to 13-16-1. As for Southside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-16-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. MacArthur is set to challenge their familiar foe South San Antonio at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Southside will face off against rival Harlandale at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
